Informed Consent

Psychological Consultancy Ltd (PCL) requires that all individuals taking its assessments give their active informed consent to participate in the assessment process. In order for individuals to give their informed consent they must understand the purpose of the assessment, the likely use of the assessment data, and how the data is protected.

By initiating an assessment, you consent to the processing of your questionnaire responses. This consent is given voluntarily, and you may withdraw such consent at any time.

Purpose

The assessments hosted on PsyKey were created to provide information about personal characteristics and feedback by trained and accredited consultants and HR professionals. The data you provide (your questionnaire responses) will be processed by PsyKey to deliver the services required by the organisation requesting your participation. The results of the assessment(s) are primarily used for personnel selection and/or the development of individuals and teams. If you are unsure about the purpose of the assessment you need to contact the organisation concerned.

Data Processing

PCL has the right to process the data you provide, including storage, copying, deletion, and transfer in accordance with the ‘Purpose’ (as above). PCL will process your personal data solely to produce aggregated results (typically in the form of a personal report), a copy of which will be transferred via secured methods to the requesting organisation and, in some cases, directly to the participant. PCL will remove all personal identifiers at the end of the project or will automatically anonymise assessment results after 12-months. PCL may use anonymised aggregated data for research purposes. For the avoidance of doubt research data does not include any means for personal identification.

All PCL clients are responsible for complying with national and international protocols covering data use and storage.

Data Protection

In order to safeguard assessment results, this website contains only the assessment items, not the assessment programs. It is impossible to process assessment results through the website. Assessment results can only be processed by downloading the raw data, decrypting the raw data, and scoring these data with appropriate programs. Until that time, responses to assessment items are merely encrypted alphanumeric strings with no discernible meaning.

Access to Data

The dissemination of assessment results is the sole responsibility of the requesting organisation. PCL will only provide results to individuals taking the assessments under specific direction from that organisation. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of the data you provided at any time, and such data will be deleted from PCL’s systems. However, PCL will have no ability to ensure the deletion of any data once that data has been anonymised. If you wish to withdraw your consent after PCL has processed and reported on your questionnaire responses, you need to contact the organisation concerned.

Limitation of Liability

PCL shall not be responsible for or subject to any liability resulting from any change to your potential or continued employment status that may result from either, (1) your taking of the assessment(s), or (2) your decision to withdraw your consent to the processing of the data you provide.
